Recruitment consultants dont enjoy a great reputation, which makes it difficult for both the job seeker and employer to trust their authenticity. But, mind you, not all BFSI recruitment consultants in India fall in this category, primarily because of the following myths and misconceptions.

Fake Adverts

Yes, there definitely exists consultants who advertise fake jobs just to win your information and increase their database. Some recruiters fall into this practice, when they are extremely low on job openings and require few leads inthe future. You can always ignore such consultants, but mind you such examples are very less. Today, recruitment consulting is an extremely flourishing business.

Only money and target is important

Did you know that even the vice president of a company has certain targets to meet? A doctor you visit regularly has a target to achieve every month? A BFSI recruitment consultants target may be as important as that of a VP or the doctor, but their target is less likely to affect your life and employment. And, talking about money, recruitment consultants also have to eat to live just like you and they get paid after a successful placement. However, this doesn’t mean that for them only target and money is important.

Never return calls

You are trying to reach a consultant for many days, but the call has always gone unanswered, even when the BFSI recruitment consultants in India were interested in your profile. You need to understand that these people work with 100 of other job seekers. You can drop an email and wait for the consultant to reply to the BFSI jobs opening.

Consultants know nothing

Its true that a large number of consultants come out of the industry and move directly into recruiting. These consultants know about their sector and are probably perfectionist when it comes to recruiting the right candidate. Furthermore, you dont need a college degree to hire people, but still most of the recruitment consultants are highly qualified in their respective fields. They can easily test the technical knowledge and skills of candidates and reduce the hiring task for the company.

Not enough skills

Many times people accuse the recruitment consultants of not possessing desired skills and experience to hire the right candidate for the job. But, most of the BFSI recruitment consultants are highly skilled and have vast experience in recruiting high candidates.

Dont fall in the trap of these myths and misconceptions.
